1. OVERVIEW

At Mother Lode Mercantile, we take pride in delivering high-quality products and experiences. Due to the nature of our products—many of which are custom, handmade, or limited-run—our refund and return policies are structured to reflect that.

2. ALL SALES FINAL

ALL CUSTOM, PERSONALIZED, OR MADE-TO-ORDER ITEMS ARE FINAL SALE.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Custom hats and hat bar creations
  • Personalized or altered items
  • Special order merchandise
  • One-of-a-kind or limited-edition goods

Once production has begun or the item has been completed, no cancellations, refunds, or exchanges will be permitted.

3. NON-CUSTOM RETURNS

For non-custom and non-food, standard inventory items:

  • Returns must be requested within [7–14 days] of delivery
  • Items must be:
    • Unused
    • In original condition
    • In original packaging

Customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective.

4. DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE ITEMS

If your item arrives damaged or defective:

  • You must contact us within [48 hours] of delivery
  • Include:
    • Order number
    • Photos of damage
    • Description of issue

We will:

  • Replace the item OR
  • Issue store credit at our discretion

We reserve the right to deny claims that do not meet these requirements.

5. ORDER CANCELLATIONS

  • Orders may only be canceled within [1–4 hours] of purchase
  • After this window, processing begins and cancellation is not guaranteed

6. REFUNDS (IF APPLICABLE)

If a refund is approved:

  • It will be issued to the original payment method
  • Processing time: 5–10 business days

Shipping costs are non-refundable.

7. CHARGEBACK PROTECTION CLAUSE

By completing a purchase, you agree to this Refund Policy.

Customers agree not to initiate chargebacks without first contacting us to resolve the issue.

Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in:

  • Order bans
  • Legal action where applicable

Products may be fulfilled by:

    or affiliated brands under Mercantile Holdings Inc.

Policies apply based on the brand fulfilling the order.
